Rebuilding?

Kevin Shaffer is gone.

The Always Sure-Handed Joe Jurevicius is gone.

It seems the new regime is content with getting rid of all the players that Phil Savage brought in, regardless of the cost.  It appears that getting rid of guys now and paying for it later is what the Browns want to do.  They are also okay with getting rid of guys that the fans liked.

The saying goes, "If you listen to the fans, you'll be sitting with the fans."  (right, Romeo?)
If they can actually improve THIS YEAR without either of these two players, I would be surprised.

Dropping two starters does not seem like the right direction.  The Browns are lacking talent from roster spots 34-53.  I think dropping some of those names is more likely to improve this team.  That is what teams that win Super Bowls do right?

Is Cleveland rebuilding or downgrading the roster for monetary reasons?  One would think that if it is for money, then they actually plan on spending some.
